Happy Thanksgiving From Our Family at Edit This to Yours

I have no grammar lessons today, no hype about my book (although you should really grab a copy), and no other writing- or editing-related topics. I simply want to take this moment to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving from our family at Edit This® to yours.

We truly have so much to be thankful for, and I hope each of you takes at least a little time over the next day or so to express that gratitude.

In fact, I want to challenge you to grab a notepad and pen and do it right now!

That's right – write down a list of everything you are thankful for, whether related to work, life, family, health, or something else. Remind yourself of these blessings!

Then, share that list with your loved ones! You'll be surprised how long your list gets.

What Am I Thankful For?

  1. My family

  2. My kids (I am so blessed to be a dad)

  3. My wife

  4. Having my parents here for the holidays and beyond

  5. The health of my entire family

  6. My career – I'm blessed to be a writer

  7. That I can use my God-given talents to provide for my family

  8. The people who came into my life this year

  9. The love and support from my family

  10. God, who has blessed me with so much

  11. Everything new I've learned this year

  12. Pain and the lessons we all learn from it

  13. That my wife, Leslie, is doing what she enjoys at work

  14. That I have unconditional love in my life

  15. That we live in a free country

  16. Random bursts of inspiration

  17. Spellcheck :)

  18. That more people in this world are preaching forgiveness

  19. More time to spend with my family

  20. A lifetime of memories

It's not easy to focus on things we should be thankful for. Life isn't easy – we go through so much every day and every year, and sometimes, it can feel like we are constantly stuck in neutral. But I genuinely believe that there is always something to be thankful for.

What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
