Throwback Thursday: The Day I Saw My Published Book for the First Time

Updated: Mar 8

People often ask me how it feels to be a published author. More specifically, "What was your reaction when you saw your published book for the first time?"

Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm rarely at a loss for words. But on that day (September 14, 2021), I was practically speechless when my publisher called me in for what I naively thought was a routine visit to iron out final details and "take a few pictures."

In reality, it was to present me with a "hot off the presses" first copy of my published book, Write Like You Mean It: Mastering Your Passion For The Written Word.

No. I didn't cry.

Well, at least not while anyone was watching.

And no, I didn't run around the room excitedly like a kid in a candy store. I was rather proud of myself for keeping my composure on the outside. On the inside, I was dealing with a riot of emotions. In honor of Throwback Thursday, here's the video of the unveiling.

I mean ... how many times can one person say "wow" in such a short amount of time?

Wow!

I mean ... wow!

WOW!

How Can I Get My Hands on Write Like You Mean It?

I'm so glad you asked. I've been blessed with an outpouring of support and excitement for my published book. My goal is to continue getting the word out so that more people can master their passion for the written word and write like they mean it!
