I love seeing and hearing great things from writers and other writing enthusiasts who attend my Steve Gamel Writing Workshops. Besides building a community, one of the things that excites me the most is their passion for the topics and stories they choose to write about.

Perhaps they love writing about sports or politics. Maybe they enjoy writing science fiction novels, human-interest pieces, or crafting another award-winning investigative article.

Whatever the subject may be, they are writing what they know and enjoy!

But there's also something to be said for writing beyond your comfort zone. For instance, writing about sports when your usual specialty is fashion and design. Or, it could look like covering and writing about an intense city council meeting when you're more comfortable using your best and most descriptive words to create a world from scratch for your next book.

While I believe writers should absolutely chase the stories they enjoy the most, challenging yourself to do the same thing in spaces you aren't used to being in helps you grow.

Not just as a writer ... as a storyteller, thinker, and communicator.

Before you know it, you're an even better writer than you were yesterday!

That's my wordy way of me unveiling the topic for our next writing workshop: The Benefits of Writing Outside Your Comfort Zone! The best part is that this wonderful class is only a few weeks away. So buckle up and get signed up today! You won't regret it.

Why Attend Writing Workshops?

I've had more than a handful of conversations with aspiring authors since my book, Write Like You Mean It: Mastering Your Passion For The Written Word, was published. I've got plenty to share because I've always believed the worst thing any professional writer can do is spend decades perfecting their craft only to keep all those trade secrets, tips, tricks, and life hacks to themselves. We should educate and inspire the next generation, relying on our successes and failures to share what works, what doesn't, and how to steer others in the right direction.

It's the reason I wrote my book and started these writing workshops.

For now, these writing workshops are in-person events only. Space is also limited. So, if you're interested in joining us, please don't wait until the last minute. The QR code/link to register is in the image above, and the cost is $59 per person.

The cost covers light snacks, an excellent presentation, Q&A time, and networking. I will also have copies of my book available for purchase.

I can't wait to see you on July 10.

Thank you for reading!
