I am excited to announce that I will be one of eight guest speakers at The WritersBlock Author Symposium, slated for 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 31 at The Meeting Place in Farmers Branch. The second-annual author's event is powered by MPowered Productions, and the topic is a can't-miss one, too: "Writing Your Business Book to Build Your Book of Business!"

The event is targeted to new authors/business owners looking for guidance, direction, and resources. The doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the presentation is divided into two sessions:

Session 1: "The WHY"

You'll hear from local published entrepreneurs on why they embarked on their book-writing journey, how they use their books, and their ultimate end game.

Session 2: "The HOW"

You'll hear from a panel of industry experts (including yours truly) on everything from writing, editing, and coaching to book covers and even AI's role.

Here is what officials at MPowered Productions have to say about the event!

"You're an entrepreneur. You pass out business cards all day long. What's the shelf-life of that card? Answer: very short! As an entrepreneur, you have a story to tell. Industry knowledge ... perhaps your journey ... maybe it's purely inspirational. But YOUR book leads back to YOU! It also sets you apart as an industry expert, helps you land speaker opportunities, provides a prospecting gift "leave-behind," and it's a great way to share what you do without any direct selling."

I am honored to be included in such a prestigious event. Helping authors of all experience levels and professional pursuits is what I do all day, every day. Sometimes that means serving as a ghostwriter—shaping raw ideas into stories that truly connect with readers. Other times, it means stepping in as the go-to editor to refine existing manuscripts and provide the developmental support they need to shine.

I can't wait to share what I've learned over the years. At the same time, I can't wait to rub shoulders with the rest of the panel and soak in every word they say like a sponge!
