As I've said many times, including in my book, Write Like You Mean It: Mastering Your Passion For The Written Word, editing is a critical stage of the writing process, where the goal of the writer or editor is to read something intended to be published and improve it by fixing anything that can make it better. We should educate and inspire the next generation and each other, relying on our successes and failures to share what works, what doesn't, and how to steer others in the right direction. It's the reason I wrote my book and have started these writing workshops.
