Our second-to-last Steve Gamel Writing Workshop of 2026 zeros in on one of the more important facets of your business—the one thing that represents you and your brand 24-7: your website! More specifically, the do's and don'ts of website copy.
Adding oomph to your website is a smart way to improve online visibility (think search results) and stand out, but taking your website copy and content from flat and uninspiring to outstanding and impactful is not about reaching a mythical word count, keyword stuffing, or slapping words on an About Us and Services page and hoping it drives traffic.
We will talk about that and so much more on Sept. 10.
What: Steve Gamel Writing Workshops
Topic: The Do's and Don'ts of Website Copy
When: Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026 (6-7:30 p.m.)
Where: Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce
Cost: $59 per person
The Words on Your Website Matter!

Visitors expect engaging information that guides them through your site, adds value along the way, and convinces them you are worth doing business with.
I've learned a thing or two over the years about what works, what doesn't, and what could be upgraded from a content perspective—whether you're building a website from scratch and need words to fill all that blank space or you're looking to take your existing site to the next level. It brings me great joy to be the guy business owners call on. And even when I'm not, it warms my heart when they say, "Hey, Steve ... Look what I did today!"
I want that for you!
Here are just a few things we'll learn:
What makes website copy clear, compelling, and effective
The biggest mistakes that can hurt your copy
How to write for your audience and search engines
How to avoid sounding like everyone else
Practical tips for improving your existing website copy
For now, these writing workshops are in-person events only. So, if you're interested in joining us, please don't wait until the last minute. The QR code/link to register is in the image above, and the cost is $59 per person.
The cost covers light snacks, an excellent presentation, Q&A time, and networking. I will also have copies of my book available for purchase.
I can't wait to see you on Sept. 10.
Thank you for reading!
