Thank You for A Great Year as Your Friendly Neighborhood Writer, Editor, and Author

With just a couple of days left in 2021, I wanted to take a quick second to thank everyone. I'm not here to share any writing and grammar knowledge or convince you to buy my new book, Write Like You Mean It: Mastering Your Passion For The Written Word.

All I want to do is share a special thank you for a great year as your friendly neighborhood writer, editor, and author!

Thank you for allowing me to chase my passion – to do something I truly enjoy. Many people don't get that chance in life, but I have. So, thank you.

Thank you for giving me the flexibility to spend more time with my wife and kids. I work A LOT of hours and think long and hard about every word I type. But I'm not working 18-hour days in a cubicle. I can set my own hours, deliver quality work, and still have a life.

So again, thank you!

Thank you for allowing me to sit and talk to you. To me, doing so always means so much more than a writer interviewing a source. It's two people getting to know each other – and listening. It's you being able to share who you are, what makes you and your business different, what keeps you up late at night, and so much more. And then, I have the honor of using my words and your voice to tell a really neat story in a way no one has done before.

And ... yes ... thank you for buying my book, reading it, and promoting it to friends, family, and total strangers online! I can't tell you what it means to know that I have written something that people enjoy and find so much value in. I'm officially an author, and I have you to thank!

I will leave you with this, and I know that I say it all the time: I had no clue if any of this would work when I started this journey seven years ago. I believe in myself, but there are many things that we can't control in life. Starting a small business from scratch was, in my mind, one of those uncontrollable things.

It was a giant leap. But here I am, and I have you to thank for that – over and over again!
