Your New Content Writing Strategy Doesn't Have To Wait Till January

Come January 2, my phone will be ringing off the hook, emails will flood my inbox, and my work calendar will be loaded with appointments from small-business owners eager to kick-start their new content writing strategies for 2024.

It happens every year – without fail. And I love being that writing and editing partner they feel comfortable turning to for help. But I've gotta ask – why wait?

While setting New Year's goals is exciting, and having engaging content for things like blogs, website copy, press releases, handbooks, and other marketing needs is a must to attract and build relationships with your audience, a common habit I see among business owners this time of year is that they'll completely forget that we still have TWO months left in 2023.

Sure, it's November 9, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

I get it – Christmas isn't that far away. And on top of that, there's New Year's Eve.

But between now and then, you're still working. Right? You still need to write about what's happening in your world, spark engagement, and establish yourself as a credible brand and authority in your industry. You're not shutting down shop.

So why let your content writing strategy wait until January?

Hit the Ground Running in 2024 With Strong Content!

Now is the time to think about how you want to deliver your message in the New Year. Sure, you can still hit the ground running in January, but wouldn't it be better to have all that fresh new website content complete and ready to go on January 2?

What about blogs? I think it's smart to have a few dozen posts in the hopper ready to go. Or better yet, why not write and post them now to start building momentum?

And surely there are things you need to write about to maintain a presence and stay top of mind with your clients during the holidays. If you don't, they may just go elsewhere.

Need content writing? Here are a few ideas to get you going in the right direction:

* Website copy

* Blogs

* Press Releases

* Newsletters

* White papers

* Speeches

* Video scripts

* Targeted email blasts

* Customer letters

* Manuals and handbooks

* Mission statements

* Advertorials

* Product descriptions

* Employee and executive bios

* And so much more ...

Need a Content Writer? Call Edit This®!

Business owners want to communicate with clients, spark engagement, and build trusting relationships, and one of the best ways to do that is with unique and authentic written content. The only problem is that many entrepreneurs don't have time to write and edit their blogs, press releases, etc., or they struggle to get ideas on paper. And even if they enjoy writing their stuff, they aren't immune to errors or having a message that isn't making near the impact they hoped it would.

If you've been in this position, hiring a professional content writer may be the answer. This is especially true as you look for ideas for content writing in the New Year.

I like to say we handle anything involving the written word at Edit This, whether that means writing content from scratch or being a last line of defense for business owners who prefer to flex their creative muscles.
